Facebook’s link preview editing function has been restricted

 In order to combat fraudulent link page posts, Facebook has decided to restrict link customization and video inclusion. The ability for advertisers to edit links within page post composer and power editor dark posting has been deprecated.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In order for a page to edit link previews from the website domains they “own” or are associated with, the page must be authorized first.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

For pages that are not managed by advertisers or they don’t own the link, they may turn to creative hub, which has built out a “Deliver Ad” functionality allows creative teams to create a mock up with all the correct assets and then deliver the content of the ad to a media agency/partner, for them to place the buy in power editor or in the API.
